T'ai Chi at the Allen Center - 2010 Day 84

Five gathered for a 36 minute set this morning. The dash of snow in fresh buds and fresh grass was vaguely pretty, though I can honestly say that I believe it is time for something more lush and less harsh. The form felt good this morning with one minor exception. On the first Carry Tiger and Return to Mountain, my back twinged ever so briefly. I was emphasizing the postures and I may have overdone it. Thankfully, nothing else showed up in the form and all seems well now.

There were two questions after the set. The first was on the Brush Left Knee after the first Turn and Kick with Heel and the other was about the first Ward Off Left in part 3. I also suggested to one of the newer students that they attempt to stay more compressed in their hips. They seem to have a tendency to rise up at points other that kicks. And as the saying goes, all things with time and practice. ;-)
